EMIC also designs, upon evaluation, testing equipment for any specific application, both in dynamic and static concepts.

For this reason, EMIC has an Engineering Department in the plant that works on the mechanical projects and equipment production. EMIC’s Research and Development Center is responsible for the research and design of the electronic instrumentation and software.

You will find some of EMIC’s special projects listed below:

- Weighing system and oil rig launching equipment for Petrobrás

- A computerized and electromechanical horizontal machine for creep and stress-relaxation tests and others, on fiber optics cables with lengths up to 160 meters, 4-meter stretches, and bearing up to 150kN – Installed at CPqD Telecom & IT Solutions.

- The first computerized dynamic equipment for the production of experimental concrete road lane compacted by steamroller in laboratory in the Americas, supplied to FURNAS-GO

- A computerized and electromechanical horizontal machine with capacity for up to 1MN (100 tons) to test polyester belts, steel cables and others with lengths up to 6 meters, installed at Gunnebo.

EMIC can also design accessories like special claws and special devices for its customers, based on detailed specifications. Any equipment from our regular lines, with dimensions and speed range different from the standard may also be designed, upon evaluation.
